The structure of each
Box is mostly a simple column and beam system
enclosed by one or two solid walls made of unadulterated
materials and the rest in elegant glass facades
made of tinted glazing. Not only does the tinted
glazing allows for maximum visual access to the
outside world and natural light to enter interior
spaces within, it also serves as a coloured lens
whereupon students can see their world anew and
thus infuses them with fresh ideas for design.
In contrast, the solid wall anchors the Box and
houses most of the services of the building. This
system is not only easy to construct but also
encourages maximum flexibility, providing open-ended
expansion possibilities for future growth.
